BoD Kick Start Program

This is the eCourse I wish I had access to when I was first starting out in business.

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much. ~ Helen Keller

BoD Kick Start Program

Hands up who’s ready to take action and kick Covid-19 in the butt??

You’ve got two choices, sit back and hope it’ll all work out once Covid-19 passes OR sit up, roll your sleeves up and take ACTION to get your decorating/styling/creative business ahead of the pack for when we get beyond this messy time.

What is the Business of Decorating Kick Start Program?

Time to work smarter; not harder. Learn to run your business with intention.

visual

Like you, I’m a visual learner, I learn best when I’m watching videos, filling in worksheets or reading picture books (ok maybe that one doesn’t apply anymore but you get my drift..) so I’ve created this program to incorporate plenty of visual learning references.

systems

I’m a firm believer in systems, processes and routines for business success but they don’t have to be boring or uninspiring. I’ve successfully worked out a formula to run a creative business AND make money from my passion.

who is this program for?

We’re all facing uncertainty in the coming months ahead, especially business owners. If starting a business had been on your 2020 list and you’ve thrown it out the window, can I ask you to reconsider? I started this business during a recession. You’ve got the time now to focus on all the nitty gritty details and invest in yourself. Sure, there will be some things you can’t afford to do right now but there’s plenty of legwork you can do for little or no investment in the early stages. This program is going to help map that plan out for you.

You don’t need mega bucks to do it – you just need a willingness to learn and a hunger to run your own show.

The Kick Start Program is specifically crafted for budding:

  • Stylists
  • Decorators
  • Designers
  • Anyone looking to start a business in the decorating industry

Does this sound like you?

You can style a vignette with your eyes shut.

m

You’re a walking encyclopedia of decorating knowledge.

i

You hoard every decorating magazine you have ever set eyes on.

You thoroughly enjoy meeting and working with new clients and crafting a beautiful home for them.

BUT….

You’ve had a dream to start an interiors business for a long time but actually getting started is overwhelming and you don’t know where to start.

You feel like the business is guiding you rather than you guiding the business.

You wish you understood what your accountant/graphics designer meant when they speak to you in their industry jargon.

Your friends have asked you for help with their kitchen renos and you think you’d like to make this a full time gig with *actual* clients!

Maybe you’ve been at it this for a while but your focus has been on the creative side of the business with less focus on the specifics of running the business smoothly behind the scenes. Or you’ve taken a tonne of courses and online workshops about running a business but don’t understand the technical jargon because no one has been able to explain it to you in a way you understand. That’s all about to change.

who am I, and why should you listen to me?

Great question! I’ve worked my entire career in the creative industry. Starting off in visual merchandising with luxury handbag retailer Oroton, then moving into residential interior design on Sydney’s lower north shore, property styling homes for sale and then into a buying role for an online homewares retailer working with Australia’s best wholesale furniture and homewares suppliers. While in these roles I saw a huge gap in the market for affordable interior decorating services and set out to do something about it.

who am I, and why should you learn from me?

Great question! I’ve worked my entire career in the creative industry. Starting off in visual merchandising with luxury handbag retailer Oroton, then moving into residential interior design on Sydney’s lower north shore, property styling homes for sale and then into a buying role for an online homewares retailer working with Australia’s best wholesale furniture and homewares suppliers. While in these roles I saw a huge gap in the market for affordable interior decorating services and set out to do something about it. After some success in the industry designers started approaching me asking how I had achieved certain things. I wanted to be able to give back to the industry that gives me so much joy but on a larger scale so, the Business of Decorating Kick Start Program was born!

a final word…

What would running a successful interior decorating business mean to you?

Everyone defines success in different forms… So have a think about what it really, truly looks like for you and how can you get to that point of success?

  • Maybe it’s having the freedom and autonomy to work for yourself at your own pace and fit having a family into that structure.
  • Is it the opportunity to make a difference to other people’s lives by transforming their homes into amazing spaces they fall in love with every time they walk in the door?
  • Or perhaps it’s having the chance to work with people you REALLY want to work with and hiring the right people around you to make it happen?

Whatever your version of success is, it is achievable and working for yourself can provide you with all of the things above and more.

Give yourself permission to step up and achieve your goals….
