Well, what a whirlwind few weeks it’s been!
After our recent post caught fire on Instagram (eek! still pinching myself!), it feels like the perfect time to properly introduce myself and share what you’ll find here on my personal blog.
The Short Version (TL;DR)
For those who’ve just joined us – hello! I’m Emma, a self-taught interior designer based in Sydney. I run EB Studio in Mosman, where we create beautiful spaces for our clients (and share all our professional tips over on the EB Studio blog). I live in a cozy art deco apartment with my schnauzer Louis (Chief Comfort Testing Officer), and I am about to publish my third decorating book.
But more than anything, I’m passionate about making beautiful design accessible to everyone.

A Bit More About Me
Home Sweet Home
My art deco apartment, renovated in 2022, has become my testing ground for design ideas and proof that even small spaces can be transformed into something special. Living through a renovation gave me firsthand experience of what our clients go through – there’s nothing like walking your own talk!
Country Escapes
Weekends often find me at our family property in the Hunter Valley, where our two donkeys, Will and Toby, remind me that sometimes the best design inspiration comes from slowing down and enjoying the simple things.
Writing Life
My third decorating book comes out in June 2025, and I still can’t believe I get to share my love of design through writing! It’s been such a joy to help make beautiful design accessible to everyone through both my books and our virtual design service.
Out-Of-Office Emma
When I’m not in the studio, you might find me planning a trip, trying a new recipe, adventuring around Australia (I’m lucky enough to be taken on some pretty wild rides 
) or planning my upcoming trip to the Stagecoach Festival – because sometimes you need to put down the pillows and throw on the cowboy boots!
