We also review budget and timeline expectations together, offering clarity and direction so you know exactly how to move forward—whether that’s full-service decorating or a phased approach tailored to your needs and budget.

MOOD BOARDS
At this stage you will receive:

You are given access to your very own client protal to access all information about your project in one place. No more hunting through your inbox for all your project information.
You can approve purchases, see what’s been ordered, furniture delivery statuses and product pricing at a glance plus leave feedback on any project details.
TRADE DISCOUNTS
As a bonus, you get access to our little black book of interior decorating suppliers and trade contacts.
We work hard on our supplier relationships to secure you the best product pricing and custom furniture options.
Most decorators won’t get the access to pricing and wide product ranges that we do. This means we will create a really unique design for your home you literally can’t get anywhere else.
INSTALLATION
On sign off of your furniture pieces, we place all orders & arrange delivery to you.
The furniture installation process is the exciting final step where we bring your design to life and you can start enjoying your new spaces!

INITIAL CONSULTATION
Every project starts with a conversation - whether that's in our studio in Mosman or on site.
We'll talk about your home, what isn't working, what you're hoping to achieve and how you'd like to live in the finished space.
It's also an opportunity for us to make sure we're the right fit for one another.

DESIGN DIRECTION
Once we've established what you need, we develop the creative direction for your home.
This is where ideas start to become tangible. From moodboards and colour palettes through to joinery elevations, appliances, finishes, materials and the overall look and feel of the spaces.

DOCUMENTATION
Good design is in the detail.
We coordinate your selections in a live document for your build team to follow on site so that everything feels considered and cohesive rather than like a collection of separate purchases.
Where required, we can also work alongside your builder, architect and other trades to help bring the design together.

What does an interior designer do?
An interior designer works on the full scope of a space, layout, floor plans, structural changes, joinery, finishes and fixtures, usually alongside a renovation or new build, and coordinates with your builder or architect throughout.
What's the difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator?
Interior design generally looks at the bigger picture of a home – including layout, spatial planning, finishes, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms and how the spaces function together.
Interior decorating focuses more on the visual layer of a space, including furniture, colour, soft furnishings, artwork and styling.
There can be overlap between the two, and many projects benefit from both. If you’re not sure which service is right for your home, we can help you work that out.
How much does an interior designer in Sydney cost?

A single-room project will naturally be very different from a full-home renovation or new build.

Yes. Interior design often involves working alongside other professionals, particularly for renovation and new-build projects. Where required, we can collaborate with your architect, builder and trades to help ensure the design is carried through into the finished home.
Do you need to be renovating to work with an interior designer?
Not at all. An interior designer can be helpful whether you’re renovating, moving into a new home or simply feeling like your existing home isn’t working for you anymore.
Sometimes the answer is a complete redesign. Sometimes it’s simply a matter of getting the layout, furniture and finishes right.
Do you work across Sydney?
Yes. Emma is based in Mosman and works with clients across Sydney, including the Lower North Shore, North Shore, Inner West and surrounding areas.
For clients outside the immediate Sydney area, all aspects of the design process can also be handled remotely, infact we’re currently working many interstate projects.
Can you help with just one room?
Absolutely. Not every project needs a whole-home interior designer. We work with clients on individual rooms as well as larger projects, depending on what your home needs.
Will you choose everything for me?
That’s one of the benefits of working with a designer.
We’ll guide you through the decisions, recommend appropriate options and help create a cohesive scheme. The level of involvement can be tailored to your project and how hands-on you’d like to be.
What happens at the first consultation?
The first conversation is about understanding you and your home.
We’ll talk about your project, what you’d like to change, your priorities, your timeframe and your budget. It’s also your chance to ask questions and get a feel for how we work.
There’s no expectation that you need to have everything figured out before you get in touch.
How do I know if an interior designer is right for me?
