March 2026 – The team recently gathered at Unitex to officially launch the Emma Blomfield Rug Collection. Designers, journalists and industry friends came together to see the range in person for the first time, and after nearly a year of development, it was a moment worth celebrating.
For Emma, having the pieces finally on display was something of a pinch-me experience. Months of working through colour palettes, textures and pattern had led to this, and watching guests move through the space and admire the collection made it feel very real.
Feedback from the design community was genuinely warm, with many drawn to the calm, layered palette and how naturally the designs seemed to sit across different interior styles.

A Collection Rooted in Real Homes
The collection grew out of the kinds of spaces Emma and the team work on every day at EB Studio. The brief was straightforward: rugs that bring softness and quiet character into a room without doing too much.
The palette reflects colours that appear again and again across Emma’s projects: moss green, duck egg blue, warm sandy neutrals. Tones that layer easily into everyday homes but still have enough presence to anchor a space.
The partnership with Unitex was a natural one. Emma has specified their rugs in client projects for over 15 years, so there was already a shared understanding of what quality and practicality looks like in real homes. The goal was to bring that knowledge into a range that felt considered and refined, but still thoroughly liveable.

A Palette Built for Layering
Calm was the guiding word throughout the design process. The moss greens bring a gentle, grounding quality, while the duck egg blues introduce colour in a way that sits beautifully alongside warm timbers and creamy upholstery.
The neutrals were equally considered. Rather than leaning on a single beige, the range layers oat, stone, sand and soft grey to create depth while keeping the overall feel cohesive.
Early Favourites
While every design got its share of attention on the night, Plume was the one people kept returning to, its delicate, feather-like motif and the quiet movement across the surface resonating with a lot of the designers in the room.
Emma’s own favourite is Veil Blue, a lacy design with a subtle duck egg undertone that she’s already imagining in a relaxed bedroom setting.

Designed to Be Lived In
As guests stepped onto the pieces for the first time, Emma shared what she hopes they’ll do in people’s homes: create a little more calm, a little more ease, and spaces where people can truly settle in.
