Today’s a pretty special day in the EB Studio calendar – we’re turning 14!
As I sit here in our Mosman studio, surrounded by mood boards and material samples, I can’t help but smile thinking about how this all began.
And how grateful I am to have come so far!
From Side-Hustle to Studio
On 9 February 2011, with nothing but a dream and a smattering of outside-hours around my day job, I launched what would become EB Studio.
That’s right! This whole business started as a side hustle.
It was just me and my ambition, working evenings and weekends alongside my role as a Property Stylist and Homewares Buyer.
Those early years of juggling my corporate role with growing the business taught me more than any design school ever could!
The moment my buying role offered redundancy, everything clicked into place. With a waitlist of dream clients already lined up and a business ready to soar, what could have been a crossroads became the clearest path forward.
Taking EB Studio full-time was like giving it wings – we started to soar!
And I haven’t looked back since.

Always Growing, Always Learning
Looking back on this journey, I’m filled with gratitude for every single project, client, and lesson learnt along the way.
While there are definitely days when the simplicity of working for someone else seems tempting (hello, paid annual leave!), I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything else. There’s something magical about helping clients transform their spaces into homes they love.
The funny thing about running your own business is that you never really feel like you’ve “made it” – and maybe that’s the point.
I’m constantly looking ahead, dreaming bigger, and pushing for better ways to serve our incredible clients!
But today, just for a moment, I’m pausing to appreciate how far we’ve come.
What’s Next for EB Studio
And speaking of dreaming bigger… 2025 is already shaping up to be our most exciting year yet!
From the upcoming opening of @thepillars.au (one of our most ambitious projects to date) to the launch of Style Your Home in June, plus some incredible product collaborations we can’t wait to share… this year is all about taking everything we’ve learnt over the past 14 years and creating something truly special.
