Goodbye Autumn. Hello Winter. After visiting a client last week I drove down Burns Road, Wahroonga – one of my favourite streets on Sydney’s North Shore & looked up at the naked trees that were full of Autumn colour a few weeks ago..

It seems that Sydney has really decided to embrace Winter this week. It’s chillier during the days and time for woolly blankets at night, time to bring out the wooly blankets and stock up on some tea!

Last week Adairs sent me a nice box of wintery goodies. In the box was a lovely taupe Mercer + Reid fine Australian wool blanket I had only just put an old woollen blanket on my bed two nights before so I swapped it out for this new one and noticed that night that I didn’t wake up chilly at all so thumbs up for this one! I also received the World’s Softest Cotton Sheets and they are not wrong, so soft! They are 500 thread count but the nicest thing about these sheets is they have this sheen that makes them look as soft as they feel.

I was in an Adairs store last week with a client looking for new bedding for her house and while we were waiting at the counter I spotted Mercer + Reid’s ‘Aroma Wash’ Laundry Detergent and my client ended up buying two bottles to wash her new sheets with. I didn’t buy any at the time but luckily there was a bottle of the laundry detergent in the box so I used it when I washed the sheets and it made them smell amazing, it means you can do away with washing powder and fabric softener and just use a cap full of this stuff. Genius.

Right now Adairs are having their massive mid year sale so if you need to stock up on bedding, towels, flannelette sheets or quilts, now is the time to do it! Quilts and doonas are often quite pricey so if you do need something now’s the time to buy!
